Financial Accessibility

We are a small team of entirely volunteers partnering with local community organizations. None of us are earning money from this, and ticket sales will go only towards the costs of this event (venue, food, supplies, equipment rentals, paid staff (not the organizers), etc), with any extra going towards next year’s event.

We would love for you to contribute as much as you feel good about to support us in hosting more events like this. At the same time, we want to make sure that everyone who wants to attend this event can do so. There are enough barriers to communal living (and its associated knowledge/community) for some folks already. So if you need a discount in order to attend, please buy one of the NOTAFLOF tickets. If none of those work for you, reach out to us at coliving-conference@googlegroups.com. NOTAFLOF, seriously.

If instead you have the financial means and generosity to contribute more, then by all means feel free to buy Extra Support ticket(s) or make a tax-deductible donation to the event in addition to your ticket. This directly helps others attend and increases what we can offer.

Volunteering

If you want to contribute beyond money, we welcome you to volunteer on the Volunteer Signup Sheet. Give your input/ideas, offer to speak, and/or suggest excellent humans to speak or facilitate a session by filling out the 2025 Interest Form! Reach out to us at coliving-conference@googlegroups.com for anything else.

We believe that volunteering should be separate from financial accessibility, so you do not need to volunteer to buy a NOTAFLOF ticket, and everyone, including every volunteer/speaker, still needs to get a ticket (at any level). We don’t want to assume that speakers/volunteers need discounted tickets and instead want everyone to contribute financially based only on their ability to pay and their enthusiasm to support this event. We are so deeply grateful for all the speakers, volunteers, and people who spontaneously step up to help out, bring something, or solve problems. Without you, this event would not at all be possible.
